LOVE LIST

My ‘Hate List’ posting has proven to be the most responded to posting ever on my blog, which has done wonders for my fragile self esteem. Rest assured, oh gentle reader, the pessimist in me believes that tommorow my posts will receive the usual average of 0-1 responses so I may as well ride the wave while it is here.
However, I was told that because I had presented a ‘hate’ list, I had to present a ‘love’ list. In the spirit of love, I give you a rainbow and unicorn (at right) instead of the drawing of G. G. Allin. Please enjoy responsibly.
LOVE LIST (in no particular order):
- People who are interested in the world, fired up with creative energy and engaged with their lives as opposed to the cynical narcissists who seem to dominate in so many environments.
- Interesting and unconventional thinkers who aren’t reactionaries.
- History (both the good and the bad)
- Good books
- Making shit up
- Good things to eat and drink
- Conversations
- Thinking
- Being alone at least 1/2 of the time
- The way animals travel… fuck it, animals and plants make me happy.
That's a good list.
The unicorn and the rainbow mean extra love.
I hate that unicorn it makes me forget that the world is crap and I am the most important person in it.
I've never responded before but I'm doing so now because I want to prove your inner pessimist wrong. Also, I heartily agree with numbers 1 to 10 on your list.
I am so full of love for this world, that I love everyone and everything, and I have a lot to give! =D
Here is my love list is:
1. Hating everything.
2. Ranting about what I hate.
3. Dealing with it with my boot.
4. Rubbing it in – HARD!
I love fools more then anything else! 😉
I love love ;)! Seriously though, good list. I'd pretty much have to agree with just about the whole thing. I'd probably have to add gathering with friends over good food and drink with great conversation.
Funny thing… when I was preparing this post I did a google image search on “rainbow unicorn” and a pretty good image popped up so I plugged it in. I was about halfway through my list when I realized that it had been mislabeled; it was actually a picture of Pegasus with a rainbow… and, somehow, having the wrong image there irritated me. I was irritated at whomever had labeled the image incorrectly and irritated with myself for having stupidly not noticed. Then I had to laugh at myself.
So add laughing to the list.
Just for the record, I dislike all the stuff you had listed on the Hate List. Which is to say, I agree with the Hate List, close mindedness is a big “turn off” of mine. I think I'll make a list of the stuff I love over at my Fanatica Recycling Inc. blog now! Fight on brother!
