Carcosa

I don’t buy much gaming stuff at all anymore since I’m much more into the whole “D.I.Y.” aesthetic, but my package containing LotFP’s edition of Geoffrey McKinney’s Carcosa just came from Finland and I’m glad I bought it.  It wasn’t cheap, but it’s a beautiful book, quality bound, with a cover that feels like leather/suede.  If I only buy a few gaming books a year, I hope they are all this nice.

I’ve flipped through and admired the Rich Longmore illustrations, but since it just arrived last night I haven’t delved into the text yet.

Did you have the original? I’m debating whether to spend on the new.

I own the original version as well. Since I haven’t read the new one, I don’t know how the two differ (other than in length — the new one is much longer — and presentation (art, nice paper, design of the cover, etc)).

  3. May I ask when you ordered it? And what form of shipping you chose? My impatient inner child is just trying to gauge when I might expect my package from Northern Europe to arrive… 😛
